As the holidays approach like a bullet train, I have lost track of all time, and I've just realized that it's been since September since I last updated this blog! I have been pleasantly busy with the new partnerships that we have formed with The Twisted Vine in Westerly, The Brazen Hen in Westerly, The Harp and Hound in Mystic, and The Black Sheep in Niantic! I couldn't be more grateful to these hospitable establishments for allowing me the opportunity to expand! So, what have we been up to? We had a lively bunch at The Brazen Hen, where, so appropriately, we painted a rooster. I'm not sure if there was more laughing, or painting!!! But, regardless, this group of ladies outdid themselves!!!
We had a lovely crowd at The Twisted Vine for two different nights. One night painting the Chickadees on a branch, and another painting the Autumn Birches. So far with this business, I've managed to keep my customary absent-mindedness at bay, that is until the other night. I packed up all of the necessary supplies and drove all the way to Westerly. Panic started to set in when I realized that I hadn't packed the original painting!! I didn't have time to drive all the way home to get it. Was I to fake it and paint from memory? Arggghh!! So, in near frenzied hysteria (alright, that's a slight exaggeration) I called my hubby and he schlepped the painting all the way out there!! Both nights were awesome!!
On two occasions, we painted the "Beach at Oak Grove". I guess the denial of impending bad weather has everyone itching to escape to the beach! The first was an awesome private party. Shayna was a lovely and gracious host, and talent was plentiful. (So was the wine!). My brother Tim was nice enough to be my assistant and resident jester. We also painted the beach scene at The Harp and Hound, in a room full of friends who were so talented balancing their paint brushes, palettes and mimosas!!
The next few dates, we will be painting wine glasses. This was a new endeavor for me, and I really enjoyed it! I'm sure it's going to be a hit, as they would make great gifts for the holidays!! Check out the calendar of events to see where we will be near you!! I'm also doing my first kid's party this weekend, and I can hardly wait!!
Thank you SO much, my friends, for indulging me in this lengthy post. And thanks for all of your amazing support.....couldn't do it without y'all! I promise next time I won't be so long winded!!! Happy painting!!!
